I am moving to Alberta either Calgary or Edmonton. I am moving for professional reasons where I would earn very similar incomes in either city. Hence, which city is the better choice? Opinions wanted. Thanks, drprincedmd Both cities are great. Calgary has more hills, and is closer to the ski hills....

Creatian was right. Bush is an idiot and we have no place in that illegal war. They fell for the bullshit. Many Canadians did too. I recall when Creatian made that decision. Many folks were "Ashamed" by his "act of cowardice". I told them it was an obvious ploy to gain more oil. ...

Brenda Brenda: Hey, Canaceh3, you forgot the best part of BC! The Kootenays! And mbtr, first, you have to kick all the Ozzies out here first
I noticed that in Big White last year! Holy Ozzies batman! There were droves of them. |

ON the way out of the beer and wine store I used to run into buskers, who played guitar on the street for money. I used to throw a beer in their case sometimes, and they always appreciated it. Or, I'd buy an extra happy meal for the bum outside. Yeah, I've done it before. At least then you know the ...

The papers go on like the Lower Mainland is the only place in BC, so I don't blame you for thinking that's the bulk of it. LOL. There's so much more. It depends on the region. We have a little of everything. In the Kamloops region it's rolling hills and desert. In the Okanagan valley it's also rolli...

Here I am again! LOL. YOu must be sick of reading my posts by now. I forgot to add the weather differences. The lower mainland is warm, but it's always raining. The Okanagan is the California of BC. It is nothing but sun and heat all summer, but what people don't know is the winter weather. It's a d...

I forgot to add Salmon Arm! Now there's a nice town. I"m not sure of housing prices, but it sure is a gem. The city is set right on Shuswap lake, with a big white beach and docks right in the downtown area. It's the big city Sicamous residents would go to if they wanted some decent shopping. Si...

the safest area I can think of, in the Lower Mainland, is Langley. It's a nice town and a hop, skip and jump away from Vancouver. The only problem with buying in the lower mainland is the prices. They're through the roof....like, ridiculous. Chilliwak is nice too, but again....prices. Area's outside...

Hi fellow Caribooean! I'm from WL. Gorgeous Pics! I've never been to dragon Lake but now I think I must go check it out next Spring. I was just up that way, last summer, when I took the kids to Wells. Neat town! I was thinking of doing the Byron lakes run next year, which brings me to my next point....

We need a small miracle for the Pine Beetles to be killed off. We need 35 below or colder for three weeks (or is two) before we can kill them off. It's not cold enough, yet. I'd love to see the end of it. It's so bad now,it's hard to find decent pine at all. ON a good note, we have lots of firewood ...
