I don't know how easy this would be to do, but I think it would be pretty nifty for Canadaka.net to have a census. There are around 20,000 members on this site, about the size of a small city, and I think it would be interesting to see how we compare with national census data. How close is this site to national averages for male/female ratios for example. Or, how many of us are bi or tri lingual? Is English or French even a primary language for some of our members (I would argue it isn't given some of the posts I have seen ). We could go from what the official census takes and add suggestions from members, it doesn't all have to be serious questions. What do you think?

but yah that 20,000 is over almsot 5 years, and many people registered and never posted in forums.

I would have to make something custom though, the poll system on the site and forums doens't handle multiple questions. I can make it a mandatory popup like I did for the 2006 Election Poll. It won't go away till you submit it, and will track who has voted by username and ip.
