The forums have long had many different size avatars, some are small and some are tall.

A couple months ago I removed all the old tiny avatars from the avatar gallery, so not to many people use them anymore. But the avatar settings allow avatars taller than they are wide (100*150), so the size of avatars varies.

I was thinking it would be nice to enforece square avatars at the 100*100 size so thinks look all uniform... STOCKENBLOCKEN!

It would also reduce the vertical scroll ov some pages, where posts are only one line, tall avatars stretch the vertical space of the post with white-space.

I like the idea but it would also be good to include some instructions for us MS Paint folks.

It would all get so square then... And it limits the choice in Avatars. So... no.

I think the 100*150 max is good and don't find it un-uniform, really. It gives people more options for their avatar as well. Considering some forums I've visited allow some very nasty big avatar sizes, I find the 100*150 max just about perfect.

Just don't go to a navy blue text on a black backgound...

I like to make all my avatars 90 wide since it matches the width of the stars/flags above... other than the max limits, I don't think the size should be controlled.

I agree with Brenda on this. I, personally, do not find the scrolling length an issue. I will go with whatever is decided one way or the other.

I kinda like everything uniform looking but hell that is probably just OCD....What i want is a Lacrosse subforum under sports...
