I'm not sure where this topic belongs, but this section felt like the appropriate place.
I was wondering if someone could clarify for me the requirements of bringing products from the US over to Canada via crossing the border on foot.
I will be visiting the states for 2 weeks, and I will be purchasing 4 servers. Valued at $150 each. For a combined total of $600. From what I'm aware, if I stay across the border for >7 days, I am allowed $750 of duty free products to bring back to Canada.
My question is: Do duty free products include servers/computer hardware? And also, will I still have to pay GST/PST depending on my province?
Ask them when you cross the border, since your in Japan and all...

could be an expat flying into the strates, buying some cheaper stuff before heading home. I've flown into the states before coming home, because it's cheaper. A guy I know from New West, who lives here, flies into the US all the time. He flies from Taoyuan to Shanghai and uses a Chinese carrier to Sea Tac. It's about $500 cheaper, than flying from Taiwan(KHH or TPE) or Hong Kong to Vancouver.

You don't think, Shep, that it is strange that Carol AND enmasse post the EXACT same post, a week apart?
