Two points of clarification:

Video games are media. They are directed to the prevailing market.

Splitting hairs about 1949. Canadian troops initially in WW1 were asigned piece-meal to British formations but before the end were united in a CANADIAN CORPS which took Vimy Ridge.

WW2 from the get go---Canadian soldiers wore a Canadian uniform with Canadian insignia. They were ALLIED forces rather than British troops.

Any representations about British comand is as foolish as representing D-Day as an American OP just because Eisenhower was an American General.

Juno beach was a Canadian/Allied beach not a US or British beach.

Where to begin.........At the start I guess.

Canadian troops were not assigned piece-meal to British formations, unless you consider assigning an entire division to a corps to be piece-meal.... The smallest Canadian unit assinged to a British one was the PPCLI. The Patricias were raised as a private regiment and taken on strength of the British Army at the start of the war. I suppose you could split some hairs here wrt to Canadian pilots in the RFC....

From the get go in WWI Canadian troops wore Canadian insignia. Thanks to Sam Hughes they almost lost thier distinctive regimental ties. No matter what number Sam gave the regiments, they still kept their heritage alive. No general in Ottawa was going to be able to kill that. You want to be a real student of WWII to know that there was a slightly different cut to Canadian battle dress and that we wore a slightly different tin hat than the British. The differences were miniscule.

Ummmm, Eisenhower did not command Neptune, Montgomery did. So... Canadian, American and British troops were all under the direct command of a British general.

Nah, that would go completely across the grain at CBC. Interesting programing? Not in their charter.

$1:
Take WW2 Video games for example, name a video game that has Canada as a playable country? They had Canada once in SP for Call of Duty 3 I think, but that was only for console games and only once in single player.

The Battlefield 1942 multi player game had a patch that was called Caenns, which was Canadians vs Germans.

The bad thing about it though, was that the verbal diatribe sounded just like the British. TallyHo Pip Pip etc. A real dissapointment.

CBC's mandate is not to teach Canadian history but to promote anti-Americanism and a liberal fascist view on things... Hence a nut-job like David Suzuki get's his own tv show...

Well apparently thats what all News is about then, hence Fox and it's anti-Canadianism. Hence Tucker, and Ann Coulter that is constantly asked to go on Fox all the time to express her views about her Canadian and American views.

Ann Coulter being the biggest anti-Canadian, doesn't even do research for her claims. Always making claims without knowing why she even makes them.

CBC also did basicly a series about Canada in WW2 and teaching everybody every single detail about WW2 and what Canadians did and how they did it. Was actually very informational and well done.
