I wondered why the markets were going that down today.

This all started when retired US Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan spoke yesterday and predicted the boom was over.
That stupid little troll opens his trap and markets crumble.

There goes the 13% per quarter rate of return my Investors Group China Fund earned in last quarter 2006. This is not good news for all Canadians.

Wow, who would have guessed that investments that offer big rewards sometimes involve big risks.

Went in knowingly. I"m young enough to be high-risk tolerant with my investments for a few more years. I view this as the fund (and market) stabilizing itself to a more reasonable plateau.

This was bound to happen and probably better now rather than later.

YOu'll get it back and more. These Chinese funds will be just like any others. Look at the ups and downs Canadian market funds experienced over the last 10 years. These last couple of years I"ve finally recouped losses from the early aughts'. Smart investors don't panic.

China is known to have a very bad capital market. It is why you see alot of Chinese companies listed on the NYSE and other outside exchanges. The stock market is always violitile there. This is a much needed correction.
But I agree with Greenspan. The economy can't be growing 10% a year every year if there is no domestic consumption(40% savings rate).
