As a former Cadet for 7 years and an ex Airforce Officer I think she has things a little backward. As her son is a reservist he must VOLUNTEER to got to Afgan.. no one is forcing him to go, reservist and reserve service is voluntary.

Secondly, I think these type of left wing crazy ideas needs to be address quickly before it gets out of control. I bet she is also a mother who let her kid run wild and do anything he liked and placed no boundaries on what he was able to do when younger, now her kid of off to war and she is looking for something and someone to blame.

Grow up, and take some responsibility; I gained a whole pile from cadets and the cadet movement. Not just how to take orders. Self confidence, leadership, flying I all learned threw cadets.

I think this lady needs to get a life. And as a side note less than 10% of people who join cadets actually pursue a career in the military. Hardly any "brainwashing" results to be proud of...good grief!

I am a cadet and I say fuck this bitch all the way to the bottom of the North Atlantic.

Cadets teaches us how the real world works, how to deal with assholes, authority structures, etc. Trust me, most people in my Squadron wouldn't dream of joining the CF. Hell, my last class that I ahd to teach was about how to prepare memos, how to set up meetings, and leadership.

We seniors aren't telling the junior cadets: "Join the Canadian Forces, join the Canadian Forces."

Cadets teach people to follow and not think for themselves? That's odd. I don't remember being a robot for the two years I was in command of my squadron as a WOI.

Cadets is an awsome program. I''ve gotten 2 pilot's licenses and a flight instructor's rateing through cadets and made some awsome friends. Hell flying is still my favorite activity in the world 5 years later. This lady is fucking stupid.
