Hitler and many NAZIS liked Canadians actually. You have to remember back then we were mostly an Anglo-Saxon breed. Strong, loyal, and free. What was not to like? We would have made perfect soldiers for the Third Reich. There were even plans I believe for the Nazis to have a revolution here and have Canada become part of Nazi Germany. We were more favoured than the Americans because there were more Jews and blacks living there and were not as pure as we were. Maybe they hated us after engaging us in battle and for seeing their friends face get ripped off by our shells but we didn't care much for them for doing the same. Also like many people in Germany and Canada not everyone just joined for their "cause" for many it was food and a job and many just saw it mostly as that.

I think Hitler never hated Canada either because we never really did anything to them. We just did our duty like all soldiers did and he would have little reason to feel aggravated by us that much. But it is not like everyone knew much about us a country with just over 10 million people. I don’t think Canada was in most of the propaganda airwaves Germany was broadcasting.

Well, Of Allied prisoners killed by the Nazi's after they surrendered, Over 120 Canadians were killed. Brits? I believe it was 6. Americans? 1.

Of course we came right back and stopped taking prisoners...
