So almost 2 weeks ago I lifted something the wrong way and triggered an old injury in my lower back, which I have done before over the years and usually after a couple days of stiffness its fine again. This time it seemed fine at first and I carried on. Started hurting more a few days ago especially when sitting down or getting up from sitting or laying down or bending at all really. It was I think when I started doing some stretching exercises in an effort to make that muscle move I might have made it worse by over-extending it and pissing it off even more. I really hate taking any meds but started taking ibuprofen which helped only a little. After talking to a couple of people about it they both said to try Robax so after getting up this morning with stabbing pain my bf went and picked up some. I only took one and damn if it isn't helping! There is only a twinge of discomfort.

I know somewhere in either the random or fuck list thread there has been discussion bout pain meds perhaps related to back pain. Has anyone else here used Robax products?

Yep but they didn't work on a pinched nerve.
Used it since for back pain and it seems to work, but at my age back pain is just a sign I'm still alive.

Warning... stating the obvious

You know that pills don't actually solve the problem, right. I had a bad back problem years ago and someone told me to go see a physiotherapist. Seems I had alignment trouble with my sacroiliac joints. 2 adjustments over a week and I was good to go.

Oh yes I do realize they only mask the pain. However the decrease in the pain enables me to relax and rest it which should help. The pain is only in my lower back, not close to my spine, but the muscle just above hip level and mostly on the right side

I fucked up and lifted something too heavy and the wrong way and I knew it as soon as I began doing it just the message didn't get through in time. 20yrs ago it probably wouldn't have bothered me this much but I'm discovering even at this age that I have to accept my limits a bit better, which means my logical side must learn to override my stubborn-I-can-do-it side. I also figure that having just had a birthday last week that the warranty just ran out. Isn't that the way it works?

I tried it but it didn't work for me. I was hoping that the relaxation part would help but nope. Pinched nerves suck. Found a physiotherapist who is helping me fix it. It's torturous but seems to be helping

My doctor has always told me the best cure for back pain is to go for a walk.

Yes, it hurts. But it eases the pain and helps the problem heal. Doing nothing and masking the problem with drugs only makes it worse. :(

As it put-puts, it covers up the sound of your backbone popping.

Slow stretching, a lot of walking and the occasional treatment via a masseuse or chiropractor will all help. I don't like to recommend pills that much.
