The Kingston Frontenacs are pleased to announce that on Wednesday, October 21st, 2009, they honoured Canadian Forces Base Kingston in their annual salute to the military and Don Cherry will be joining them at the event. On that night, the Kingston Frontenacs unveiled and wore a limited edition, one-of-a-kind Don Cherry game sweater. Each Don Cherry sweater was autographed by the Canadian hockey legend and then made available for sale in an on-line auction, all proceeds from the monies raised to be donated to Soldier On.

Auction Begins:

The on-line auction for these limited edition, one of a kind autographed game worn sweaters will begin immediately following the game and continue until late in the evening on October 31st 2009.

All Proceeds will support:

Soldier On fund works to optimize the functional independence of ill or injured Canadian Forces personnel or former personnel by delivering programs and services and facilitating and integrating opportunities that support their full and active participation in physical fitness, heath promotion and sport. The Canadian Forces is committed to ill and injured personal and their loved ones, through programs ranging from excellent medical care, to vocational assistance to social support and counseling.

I love that jersey!

Might just have to buy one of those babies.... :lol:

It is a great cause, good on old Don and the Kingston Frontenacs for this.

Ugly it is! XD Lord how I'd love to have one. :lol:

I just looked again and a lot of the bids are $500+ :D

I hope this raises a ton of money. It's such a great cause.

I fucking love that jersey!!!! I want one and will wear it to drop in, cant wear it to my games...well I can now due to being a gate keeper till I am better. I WANT ONE!!!! [B-o]

Hockey players don't wear jerseys, they wear sweaters. Having said that, the Don Cherry knock-off is downright hilarious. It would make a great gift if mass produced.
