i love languages!
Besides English i speak read and write Italian.
Even though i had 12 years of French class, my French is quite limited. As i meet people who speak different languages i always ask them to teach me a few words. i know how to say "chicken" in Polish, Armenian, Portuguese, Russian, Tamil, Romanian, Maltese, Spanish, Greek, German and i think i am forgetting some. i thought chicken was a good word to learn so that if i traveled to any of these countries i would not be wondering what i am eating i could always point and ask..... Chicken?

I've been taught 6 years of French. 2 years in primary school and 4 years in secondary school. I got bored after the first year so I don't really know much French. It would have been interesting if I had learned German though.

the four tones of mandarin are bothersome enough. I think Cantonese has eight.

Finnish, Swedish (thanks to this a good understanding of Norwegian and Danish), English, German (studied it for about 8 years but always hated it, so my German isn't the best...), Japanese (although I've forgotten some of it by now ..and I had one class of French in high school..
I'd love to speak Spanish or Italian...sounds so nice..
