I really don't believe results of such polls as truly representative, because what was the method used? How many people were polled? Who performed the polls? Where? How were the questions asked? And so on... The quality of polling varies, and so do the results fluctuate within a huge range... So it might be true, or not true, or not relevant at all...

Fewer young men in the US want to get married than ever, while the desire for marriage is rising among young women, according to the Pew Research Center.
I think that it is time to legalize polygamy.

Bodah Bodah: This Chick is awesome btw. She's a Canuck from BC and a MRA.
Missed this the first time. I'd suggest that anyone else who missed it take a look. Very good, I thought. Definitly struck a few chords with me.

Wow. Might not agree with everything, but good on her. If a man posted this, the feminist firestorm would be epic.
Actually, high income people marry high income people, and marriage rates among them are as high as ever. Middle income marry less, or at least stay married less often, and low income people way less. Marriage still, or again, seems to have a huge economic reason behind it. At one time is was necessary for women to have a means of support. Then it became about romance. Now it seems to be an economic union because both partners have to bring in the bacon, especially if you want to buy a house.

That used to work, but now you run the risk of some crazy woman stealing your kids, cleaning out your bank account, making your life hell, and a system of judges and public welfare determined to help them, without any regard for you. Not worth it anymore. Everyone should know a couple of true horror stories where a guy got his life destroyed by a pyscho bitch. The entire system is now stacked against men, every day more and more of them realize it. Soon enough the government will see it as well. Bachelor tax anyone ?

Just choose the right woman, who will be with you in good and bad, most faithful, supporting and submitting. A true woman, not a fake.

Plus, you do not need to be married if you want to buy a house together. I don't think I will ever get married again.

I don't think I will ever get married again. Now there is a recipe for disaster, 2 signatures needed from people who hate each other to sell. Even not getting married doesn't help, now that every government is happy to recognize common law after a year.. or less.

Again, high income earners are getting and staying married, to each other, same as they always did - something like 87%. It makes them economically stronger. The marriage rate tapers off the lower down the income scale you go.

Soon enough the government will see it as well. Bachelor tax anyone ? Yep. I've known a few men who have had the misfortune of marrying the bitch from hell and had more or less all the above happen to them. I've also known a few women who have been that bitch. It's unreal and very pathetic. martin14 martin14: Now there is a recipe for disaster, 2 signatures needed from people who hate each other to sell This can be very true. I guess I was really fortunate in that when my ex and I separated over 4 years ago we had an amicable separation. Sold our home, split the proceeds 50/50 and went our separate ways. Still keep in touch too.
