I'm not holding CNN to any standard other than what is in the interest of Jeff Zucker. Short of that they will twist what ever way the wind blows. They have no anchor and are certainly not adding to civil discourse as a whole. Other than disaster porn I find it hard to find what CNN does well at this point and it reflects in their ratings. I know a major shake up is in the near future for CNN to get away from editorials and focus more on actual reporting but they still serve the interest of their corporate masters above any other consideration. That they have ANY pull at all at this point is more a testament of the inertia of the legacy media establishment.
