Thought of that years ago.

Take all the 'refuse' that has no hope; the Bernardo's, the Pictons's . . drop them on an island in the North, give them the means to build shelter, and air drop supplies once in a while.

'The Dilithium Mines of Rura Pente', or 'Bridge of the River Kwai' style. No fences . . no walls . . no guards. No one to hurt but each other.

Sounds like a line from the Simpsons:
"Sentenced to a garbage barge where they must fight to the death to become king of the hobos."

Follow up time:

$1:
New charges have been laid against an Alberta man already accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl on a playground in Leduc last summer.
RCMP say after a long investigation 26-year-old Clinton William Schuler has now been charged with sexual assault after a Devon girl was approched by a stranger and assualted last January as she walked home. Police had charged Schuler after a 12-year-old girl was sexually assualted six months later in Leduc. That incident was caught on video by a nearby resident.
Schuler was arrested several days later.

Police says he will remain in custody and is scheduled to appear in Leduc court February 12th on the new charges.

I wonder if any of the bleeding hearts, here, and everywhere else, are going to send this poor misguided fellow care packages, visit him in jail regularly, offer him unending encouragement while he is being rehabilitated, and then stand up for him at his early release parole hearing and offer him a place to live in their own homes???

Of course they won't. They are all talk! As an alternative though I would offer my own brand of rehabilitation at the end of a length of hemp. Guaranteed 100% success rate!

The bleeding hearts want YOU to let him live in YOUR town. Don't you know that's how they roll?
