    Not even the worst thing I've heard of. When you donate your body in the US, you don't get a say in where it goes. Organ donation is heavily regulated. Tissue donation there is pretty much caveat emptor.

    Quite a few stories of organ donations from less than desirable sources. Refrigerated cadavers, things well past their best before date. If you get a nearly rotting femur as your bone marrow donation, the best you can hope for is to lose your whole leg.
