Normandy veteran John Jenkins MBE who received standing ovation from the Queen has died aged 100

John Jenkins (pictured) who was one of the last surviving Normandy landing veterans, died last night in Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth. It comes a month after his 100th birthday.
