OK, I'm officially en tering this fray. As of right now, I am offering a large double double and a chocolate dip to anyone who whacks this Pakistani POS. He considers the value of a human life to be $100 000. I've offered treble what his miserable life is worth. He should immediately be arrested by Pakistani Police, and placed on a no fly list as a terrorist. Should Pakistan refuse to comply, they should be placed on the list of nations that give aid and support to terrorists.

I'll never understand the Pakistani Government, what I understand less is why we give them money.

Man this guy is just a fucking idiot. As if enough shit wasn't already going down. Ghulam Ahmed Balor is one of the most corrupt politician in a vast sea of corrupt politicians in power, has literally brought the railway down on its knees from a profit making organisation in his four years, all the while his pockets fatten up.

Belongs to a small pashtun political party which was quickly accepted along with many others who win even a few seats by the PPP after the last elections they couldn't get a majority even after a sympathy vote after Benazir's assassination. Probably would be remanded by his masters i,e PPP ( Pakistans People Party ) who will do anything to get those aid dollars so they can stuff their pockets.

Highly unlikely he would get arrested, no one does in the current climate situation, everybody's got enough dirt on everybody else to bring them down. So at the most he would get a finger waving.

Hopefully elections are around the corner and there is huge support of a new third force led by what I can describe as very credible man, his biggest asset is that he is not a career politician and truly worked and is working for the country and it people in many ways. Imran Khan. I have never voted, wasn't worth the effort, but this time I will.

Up till now its been basically been three player game since the formation of the. The Bhutto party wins, pilages the country, then the Shariff brothers take their turn at looting, with the military coming in between to fuck up things. So if this time any of these two come into power ( Military intervention is highly unlikely this time round, things are already at rock bottom, if they had to they would have come in around 6 months to a year back ) then the nation really has lost it and deserves to be a shithole it really is at the moment. Because if the people don't or arn't educated enough to use their vote and make their lives better with what seems to be the only hope at the moment, then there truly is not point is going on.

A Toronto Coptic Christian activist also fears for his life now as a result of the film and false accusations that he played a role in it.

Nader Fawzy said Saturday he believes the Egyptian government put his name on the list as revenge for his campaigning for better treatment of Egypts minority Christian population.

So they just pick the name of anybody they have a beef with and link it to the YouTube video? Looks like the doughnut and coffee are still up for grabs.... and the Pakistani government is only 'distancing' themselves from the douche bag rather than arresting him...telling.

^^^ Didn't I just say that, there won't be any arrests ? If I have dirt on you and you have dirt on me, basically were at a standoff.

And the term government should be use very very loosely when referring to the Pakistani govt, because there almost isn't any.

Egypt appears to be trying to make the crime of offending Islam a worldwide one. Or perhaps it just wishes to offer a bone to the mob. Its prosecutor-general has put out an arrest warrant for two Canadians and several other Coptic Christians allegedly involved in the making of Innocence of Muslims, the anti-Prophet Mohammed film that has sparked deadly riots in some Muslim countries.

It may be primarily a symbolic gesture, but it does, in effect, put people on notice everywhere that taking issue with Islam is a dangerous thing to do. The prosecutor says the charges in the warrant (which also include causing sectarian violence and harming Egyptian independence) carry a possible death sentence.

This is a strange approach for a nascent democracy, and a bad signal from the Muslim Brotherhood, which holds power. They seem to think that democracy means giving vent to the popular will, or elements of it, even if those elements are behaving as a mob. Since does one democracy purport to tell people in other democracies that if they speak out in certain ways, they could be charged and even put to death?

The arrest warrant may also be a way of intimidating Coptic Christian activists and silencing them about discrimination against that minority in Egypt. The two Canadians cited in the warrant say they had no involvement in the film; one had publicly denounced the film in a statement from the Middle East Christian Association.

Of course Canada would not extradite the men to Egypt. But their travels in the Arab and Muslim world must surely now be limited. And who knows what drastic consequences having ones name on such an infamous list could have.

Strangely, Canada still has a law against blasphemous libel in the Criminal Code section 296 though no one has been prosecuted under it since 1936. (During a prosecution in the 1920s, this newspaper editorialized strongly in favour of the blasphemy law.) There were five attempts to enforce that law in Canadian history. This law deserves a cozy retirement in a nice museum. That would make it easier for Canada to speak out against the archaic blasphemy laws in other countries.

This country should make it clear to Egypt that Canada does not appreciate the threat, symbolic or otherwise, of prosecution and death against its people.
