A Medicine Hat College basketball forward with an awkward surname is finally being identified by it when he plays the game.

    I thought fox in German was fuchs? I guess one of his ancestors thought the family wasn't getting enough attention.

    It is... but there are dialectal variations and I have seen more names taken from Fuchs written this way in South America... likely to keep the pronunciation when reading among Portugese/Spanish speakers :D

    I think there's a model there somewhere named Katya Fucks... and it looks like she does it quite well.

    also happened in Australia where a catholic school didn't want to let a boy with the German name HELL into the school :D hehehe hell in German is BRIGHT... religious "hell" is Hoelle (H�lle)
