Forum: Current Events   Topic: U N Elects Saudi Arabia to Women’s Rights Commission

Very smart. Force your opponent to defend a position that is indefensible. Excellent debating tactic. Instead of allowing them the comfort of defending their Women's rights record using, it's "our business", this puts their record in the spotlight where if they are proposing policy that is...

Agree doubly there, senior discounts have really become a bit of a joke though imo. All things considered.

The most "vulnerable" demographic also happens to have the most money. Why don't we start subsidizing cab fares for CEO's as well, since they are "driving" the economy?

It's pretty hypocritical to criticize Castro while still doing business with China. A whole lot of self righteous b.s. Out of the usual camps. As was mentioned, Battista was a butcher who killed thousands, Castro himself killed thousands during the revolution and during his reign which in my view wa...

You can be proud of who you are for whatever reason you want. In fact, pride being a feeling, is not really something you have any control over.

It's the way people choose to display pride and evoke it in others that becomes an issue.

Using anti-biotics to fight simple infections deprives your immune system of creating the proper antibodies on its own in case you ever encounter a similar infection. This in turn creates an overall weak immune system and a further dependence on big pharma the next time you encounter an infection. T...

When Comey first announced they had found new emails and were reopening the investigation, everyone had assumed they must have found something incriminating because it would unusual for law enforcement to announce somethi...

What the hell ? I love the New York Post now. ROTFL

This election has really set the bar for the best election in the history of elections. You can't pay for this kind of entertainment and it will truly never be "Trumped". [B-o]

I agree. At this point, it's more of a sporting event than an election on the issues. Who cares if my quarterback is a sexual predator? It doesn't matter what they stand for or what they have done, it's only about winning and losing. It really does point to a major flaw in democracy as a whole, name...

It is baffling. It really is coming straight out of nowhere. The polls in the past have been fairly accurate. http://elections.huffingtonpost.com/pollster/2012-general-election-romney-vs-obama If anything the polls would indicate a very slight right leaning bias. The popular vote ended up 51.1 to 47...

Fivethirtyeight.com has Trump at 12.5% chance. The betting sites are paying 5 to 1 in places. Trumptards could argue that the polls are rigged but certainly can't say the same about the betting sites. Historically, no one has come back from a 4% deficit in October to win. Hillary has a 9% lead with ...

I expect false flag. I also suspect lots of anecdotal "evidence" of voter fraud after the election. Trump is preemptively declaring the election as fraudulent. It really is unprecedented and his idiot supporters believe him. He also has thousands of volunteers who are supposedly going to &...

The supreme court decision was more of a "locker room" talk type of decision. Just like Trumps "locker room" contracts and when he launches his first "locker room" preemptive missile strike.

The Amish are going to be a shitload better neighbors to have than a bunch of throat-slitting Muslims. Yes, but why are they leaving Ontario ? It's a multiculti paradise with cheap prices, cheap electricity, good government, and lots of diversity. What could possibly be the problem ? That's ...
