Huh, looks like users can't delete their own posts anymore? President Trump has nominated Amy Coney Barrett for the Supreme Court!!! Yep. This nomination should be a breeze because we all know from the last nomination that every woman is to be believed!!! Right? So why even bother asking her any que...

Racism is why this thread even exists. Was it though? I know that I will take some heat for this, but it needs to be said. George Floyd and the cop knew each other. They both worked at the same nightclub. What if the cop was a dirty cop? All kinds of shady stuff goes down at a nightclub. Drugs, pro...

The only reason you posted this information was to do what you previously condemned. You've chosen the route of intimidation rather than the courtesy and respect you once called for. No judge would ever write such a thing. If so the judge would need to be removed from the bench. I went looking for ...

She posted this on a CNN page so if she didn't want attention then she didn't have to do that. If she'd simply posted it on her own page it would not be such a big deal, would it? Seriously, Khar, once a person becomes a public figure they don't get to claim privacy. Case in point the woman accusin...

Bart, you could easily have said she lived in Ontario without providing her home address and a picture of her vehicle and licence plate. Doxing someone certainly was not necessary, regardless of what your aims were. This woman is not a public figure, nor is the location of her home common knowledge...

The point was to identify that the original poster of this story lives in Ontario. Also, this may be doxxing and correct me if I'm wrong, Donald Trump currently lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC!!! 8O Bart, you could easily have said she lived in Ontario without providing her home ...

Additionally, I'm not sure doxxing someone is a proper thing for anyone to do on a public forum let alone a moderator. The information I posted is publicly posted by Belanger herself. That's not 'doxxing'. Would you like if people started posting your personal information online? If I made the info...

Just some thoughts and opinions. Just to take use of market cap a little bit further, there's a bit of a misinterpretation in how market cap is being implied as a value in this situation in my view. The market value of a company is not market cap ; market cap is a measure of the number of shares tim...

Additional thoughts: All must be treated equal: It doesn't matter if you have 200 posts or 200,000, or if you have been here for 40 years, or if you have the longest posts, or if you've given money to the website. Being an ass is being an ass, and if you find yourself mentioning one of these in you...

@llama: I recognize the value of free speech. I believe that this thread represents the fact that it's already possibly being harmed by the atmosphere some feel is present on the site, vis a vis the lack of civility. Any civility, either self-imposed or imposed by a moderator, is going to be an inh...

I remember you! ;) I don't have a lot of time, but I did want to address one point: 1. Avoid personal insults . Attack the argument and not the person making the argument. I know that's not always easy but we're here to discuss issues and we need to do our best to discuss the issues. I think if we ...

Civility has become a bit of an issue on CKA lately and while we have forum rules that speak to this topic I wanted to add a few ideas and I encourage everyone to add their own thoughts here. Civility has been an issue on CKA for a very long time. There's been no shortage of references lately to pe...

Just adding my voice to it that I think Dr Caleb would do a good job, if he would be inclined to take up the task.

Seems like there's something to that vote fraud after all: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/jan/26/hillary-clinton-received-800000-votes-from-nonciti/ Trump argument bolstered: Clinton could have received 800,000 votes from noncitizens, study finds Hillary Clinton garnered more than 800,000...

She could vote, but she likely wouldn’t. For the record, she could have a driver’s licence as well, or several other forms of government issued ID (many of them with photos) from the Canadian government, without actually being Canadian. It’s why we ask people if they are Canadian citizens at the pol...
