Soooo you all were fine with having your every movement tracked when it was private enterprise but you draw the line at the govt doing it? Not sure yet how I feel about what's happening with this stuff atm, but there is a clear difference between the government snooping on everone and a private com...

I dunno about frivolous... seems kind of standard. Likely not motivated by actual animus towards the driver or anything. Just how the system works. Seems likely the provincial governments at least, may bear some actual responsibility. Certainly worth testing the idea in court.

I have no problem with this. They've been underfunded for years so a bit of overfunding to help them get a start on catching up is a good thing.

As long as, as shep said, there is some accountability and it actually gets used for it's intended purpose.
