“Straight pride” is like “white pride”. It means something totally different than gay pride or black pride. It's really not. It's just the idiots that usually put up white pride signs happen to be the worst humans on Earth. They just need to stop all this racial and sexuality pride altogether. The ...

The more I read these forums, the more I realize that the human race is doomed. The one and only thing that made humans successful was our ability to learn, reason, and problem solve better that the much physically stronger life on Earth. Now for some reason the population of nincompoops has skyrock...

Countries I would commit a crime 1. Norway 2. Sweden Countries I would NOT commit a crime 1. EVERY. OTHER. COUNTRY. Agreed. In Norway if you commit mass murder they put you up in a first class home and feed you three gourmet meals per day, treat you to art classes, and you get to go on nature walks...

While flying the gay pride flag, they removed the straight pride flag and said it was insensitive. Odd.

The guy should have hoisted both flags side by side. Equality. And it makes it really hard to call someone insensitive.

"McKinnon compared her struggle as a trans woman in sports to white people thinking it was unfair for black people to participate in the same events"

A more accurate anology would be "black and white people complained when a cheetah, which identified as human, entered the 100m, 200m, and 400m dash"

Lysenkoism was a state run propaganda campaign. It wasn't subjected to global scrutiny by the scientific body at large. Yes, because we all know that NOAA, the Met Office, University of East Anglia, the IPCC, the UN, and etc. are not 'state run'. Do you ever listen to yourself? Now you're making a ...

It's not opinion. It's science. And it's not science theory, it's science fact.

The exact same thing was said of Lysenkoism.

There you go making false equivalencies again.

Lysenkoism was a state run propaganda campaign. It wasn't subjected to global scrutiny by the scientific body at large.

So censorship is okay so long as it's someone who doesn't believe in what you do. I have to agree with Ms Goldy that her right to free speech is being infringed upon by a media giant who quite obviously opposes her views or, was paid more by her competitors. It's not like she asked them to bake her...

We know what methane does. In cow farts it's melting the polar ice caps, right? And we're not exactly sure when but some day... Right, because your advanced degree in climate dynamics, with a minor in physics and meteorology tells you methane has no effect on our atmosphere's ability to retain heat...

Canada has not included the United States in an upcoming meeting aimed at saving the international trading system because it doesn’t share the views of the 13 invited countries, says the new Canadian trade minister. Good. This gives President Trump justification to pull out of the WTO and stop send...

I see no problem with this at all. We know what methane does. We know farming cows causes it. I love my meat, and so do you. So, it's an awesome thing that this company has done. Everyone wins. This is THE example of technology overcoming adversity so we can keep living how we live without destroyin...

Anyone want to hazard a guess what the deficit will be when this guy leaves office? Meh, odds are it'll be about the same - the only difference is what the deficit funds. With conservatives it's usually tax cuts for corporations/wealthy and with liberals/dippers it's often social programs or enviro...

If asked about ancient usage, I’d be tempted to reply, “No, have you?” Probably not a good idea to get cheeky with an armed border guard. But they get cheeky all the time.
