But I also understand we shouldn't make anything illegal just because it makes us uncomfortable. Like handguns and semi-automatic rifles? Handguns have one use. To shoot people. We don't ban either, but we severely restrict their use and ownership, like every other civilized country on the planet t...

Screw off USA. It's legal here. Get over it. We still get to make our own laws within our own borders . So do we. And some of those laws apply at the border. Maybe we should start banning any american who owns a handgun, assault rifle, or concealed carry permit since we don't like that sort of thin...

They sell that stuff everywhere too and that makes me uncomfortable. 8O Agreed. We should also ban anyone who supported Trump, buys their milk from ...

Government didn't cause all of the other tractor manufacturers to stop competing. They may have banned old polluting tractors (unless you upgraded them so they don't pollute). But Massey Ferguson, Kubota, Fendt, Deutz-Fahr, Class and Case (to name a few) all make modern tractors that don't pollute....

The basic fact is that if Trump wants something then what he wants is bad for almost everyone else. With Kavanaugh, just like Gorsuch, it'll start with Roe v Wade and then work it's way through all the other "conservative" talking points, like approvals for rampant gerrymandering, immunit...

For the record. I'm on the fence about the whole pot thing. I'm not exactly comfortable with it being legal, and having it for sale just about anywhere makes me even more uncomfortable. But I also understand we shouldn't make anything illegal just because it makes us uncomfortable.

Turn about is fair play. The Republicans played this card on Al Franken, and now it's coming back to haunt them while they try to destroy the supreme court for the next 20 years. Maybe there is a God. Actually the Democrats started this with Anita Hill accusing Clarence Thomas of sexual harassment ...

The answer to BS like this is simple. Fire the person who made the complaint. Clearly there is something wrong with them. They do not play well with others. They are not team players. And last but not least, they're assholes.

Funny, I'd think you'd be against any government involvement in this. I mean, free market forces and all. Who is the government to tell John Deere how to make a tractor? Some other company should just start making tractors you can fix and put them out of business, right? Government enabled a cartel...

I do like the protections for privacy though. Not making non-profit exemptions however was a mistake. So was not allowing fair use. This whole things seems too DMCA like, where business doesn't feel like innovating to take in new realities, so they legislate their business model back into viability...

South African police often come under fire for failing to bring down crime levels, while police chiefs saying they need at least 62,000 more officers. Same thing in Britain to a lesser degree, and in large cities like Toronto too in spirit if not to the same extent. Mess with the cops, in the name ...

Farmers should all go back to using dumb tractors. Better for everyone. In California the farmers are fucked because of a law called AB-32 that required all heavy equipment operators to dispose of their heavy equipment and replace it with 'green' heavy equipment. The real issue wasn't the environme...

And she did. And admitted she lost. And accepted that she lost, even showed some class and admonished the booing louts in the crowd. Which is what the quoted headline and fiddledog's post is about, not her behaviour. That's another story. And I can't help but agree, no male player ever got nailed l...
