| "This is not a party of the 1960s, we're not a party of a generation ago, we're a new modern political party," he said. Dexter raised eyebrows during the Nova Scotia election campaign with a promise - unusual for the NDP - to give tax credits to large industrial manufacturers that expand ... |

| Here are a couple more articles of interest. Medical care in the United States is derided as miserable compared to health care systems in the rest of the developed world. Economists, government officials, insurers, and academics beat the drum for a far larger government role in health care. Much of ... |

Robair Robair: Toro Toro: At $50k and over, I could easily afford health insurance. Did you ever have to use it?
Yes.
I would, hands down, take my health insurer over what I had in Canada. My coverage is fabulous.
But that's me. Others have had a different experience. |

I actually went through both a Canadian and American income tax form and was surprised at the difference. And I never came... |

| For the record, I am in favour of a hybrid system between the private and public sector. It is interesting being a Canadian in the US in that I see the demonization of the Canadian system down here and the demonization of the American system up there. Both are done to reinforce existing perceptions ... |
