So, people living abroad, what kinds of Canadian things do you miss that you can't get in your new home?

Smarties! Apparently they don't have them in Arizona.
I know my boyfriend (who is American (from Arizona and Massachusetts) but living here) who is a huge hockey fan couldn't find or get a lot of hockey jerseys and such in places like Arizona especially.

It's usually never anything big, but a number of small things that make a difference. Some say Tim's coffee and I can see that, although I find if you're in North America you can find something pretty close. When I lived in Memphis getting a cool drink of water out of the tap is something I missed. If you're overseas it may be harder to have things like home available. Oddly it's when I hear the CBC Newsworld music on the plane coming home, when I finally feel I'm back.

Warm checked flannel shirts. Have to get them sent over.
Nalgene water bottles. Just lost mine and am pretty annoyed about it. (Yeah ok, they come from the US, but we don't get them in England).
Tim Horton's extra large vanilla cappucinos.
Heavy snow.
Microbreweries.
Crown Royal.
Summer at the lake.
Winter at the lake.
Autumn at the lake.
Family.

Junk food is better in Canada - A&W, chocolate bars, Old Dutch chips, etc.
The newspapers.
Hockey as the lead for any sports programming.
The every day rhythm.
I certainly don't miss all the political talk about Quebec.

Second Cup coffee! You can't even order the beans online
I can get all my favourite stuff from the Canada Shop in London now, so I order KD regularily, as well as Kraft Extra Creamy peanut butter, reeses pieces, Mugs Rootbeer and Tim's coffee lol

I agree it should be in the Expat section. I was wondering when I posted actually, why it was in Canadian Culture lol...

Oh yeah, I think I miss my family too... haha.
I have to go to Sarajevo for my peanut butter and KD. They have this good stuff in the American PX there. Wonder bread is another biggie. I love fresh bread and all but I'm getting a little tired of having to buy a new loaf every two days.
