A jaywalker causing a driver to miss a green light is a minor inconvenience. A group of goof-off protestors illegally shutting down major roads, highways, and rail-lines for hours, or days, on end is a deliberate disruption. After all, we non-Chosen People have to get to work to make the money to p...

Well, for one thing it tells me that I would be in agreement with her on this. On the other hand I think that anyone who has the minimum amount of time to spend putting comments on a site like this probably isn't too stressed for time that stopping long enough to chat or take a brochure from people ...

I've asked this before, why is this any more than a mild inconvenience?, Have you even come in contact with one of these peaceful protests?, Is your life so important and scary and profitable that you get that angry?

So if naval personell end up eating a lot of deep fried food is there a special wage supplement for hazardous duty? I have been wondering how far we could go with biofuels, would farm tractors be able to use home brew as we slide down the long and slippery slope of the downside of the oil peak in or...

I'm guessing that some of the posters on here had a very gentle upbringing, which is a good thing, to be equating peaceful protest with violence. In the hopes that this kind of mis-apprehension doesn't fuel really bad decisions anyone with any concerns in this regard might check out the following, h...

And unlike the US, we've spent millions on reparations, sometimes to questionable claims. Can you name one questionable claim? It does no harm to have this issue brought forward again. We have a tendancy to forget unpleasant episodes, and they then repeat themselves. Osoyoos/Westbank reserves. Abso...

I don't know why protesters are choosing the sites they are, though I think that the rest of us could have a bit of patience and not mind a little inconvenience given the scope of the problems that the Idle No More movement is trying to address. Possibly the idea is to take the problems which have ...

This was on CBC last night, 75% fail a simple geography quiz. I kept hoping that it was some kind of joke, newfie or not.
Say, speaking of geography, did you notice the fantastic virtual landscapes in the new wonderful worlds of Warcraft? |

I see that we are still focussing in on the side issue of money, money, money. It seems odd to me that with so many issues at stake people can only discuss the one issue that really isn't that important. Whether or not some portion of funds spent is spent well is a good question, but minor in the di...

A race based land ownership does not necessarily lead to racism. Ignorance leads to racism, a determined effort to put peoples down so that their property can be stolen from them could easily lead to racism. I disagree. I think a race-based structure inevitably leads to racism, as either one side o...
