i have thought about it. i have a java irc client that i have tested, and my friend runs his own IRC network that i can setup a channel on. I have not done so in the past because i didn't think it would be used enough. But the site is bigger and busyer now, so maybe it would?

I just use bravenet.com for my website chatroom. Those kind arent difficult if you want to keep a simple room for the site.
