That looks more like mine. The ping is the bad part, I don't care so much about the download speed.

Just for giggles I decided to check mine. I ran it a couple of times and this one was a better result than the first one I did.

Mind you, I am using a wifi connection that many others use as well. I'm going to check tonight on the other connection that is available but not until the evening.

Needless to say this is one of the things on my list of "cons" about being here... sometimes I can't even check my email never mind being unable to view news videos etc.

And I thought my connection is modest. Looks middle-of-the-road. I tried to get the cheapest connection Shaw offers. They had a deal a year and a half ago, bumped up my speed a bit, and my bill when the deal expired. It was the cheapest connection other than "Lite", now it's three times that speed. Can't complain though.

If anyone wants to sign up for DISH Satellite Internet I'd be happy to let you use my Sacramento post office box as your billing address.

Just set up auto-pay from your credit card and have the statements made paperless - the PO Box is then your 'US' address for junk mail and etc.
