Memorial Day in the US today. Thanks once again to those who served and made the ultimate contribution. Some few of us still remember what it was all about and why it's still important. It's unfortunate that this day, just like Remembrance Day in Canada and the other British nations, has become a yearly reminder that the society these people served and died for became over time something that is singularly unworthy of the sacrifices those men & women made.

From tearful honour to a sick combination of farce & tragedy, all within the space of a couple of increasingly degenerate & pathetic generations. From a society that once appeared ready to challenge for the stars themselves to something that deserves to get squashed underfoot like a plague-carrying cockroach. Way to go, Western world, hell of a way to live up to your obligations to those who gave all for you.

Apparently in a US Air Force simulation recently an AI was hooked up to a drone. Something happened and when the operator tried to abort the simulation the AI-drone tried to "kill" the operator for interfering with the completion of the mission. wOOt!





Ah, well. Humanity's had its run. No great loss.
