Wait... Ministry? Never heard of 'em! .. I think... Need to check 'em out.

Ministry rocks! Try Skinny Puppy as well, more 80's than 90's though.

Offspring started good and then turned into a sappy top 40 type band.

Agree.. fully. Didn't take them (Offspring) long eather.

I got some Skinny Puppy songs but as you said, they got more of an 80's feel to it.

But they still rock. Some of their music still scares my dogs!

Ha ha! Yeah, they got some eary sound to some songs, like that song, "Censor". How about Tear Garden? You in to them?

You missed some nice rock then OPP! :P

From the 90's or are you thinking I'm an ignorant lil pup who should investigate the 80's and 70's before I open my big trap?

You were the one not having heard of Ministry before, right? If you never heard of Ministry before, you probably have never listened to them before, which made me say you missed something...

The rest are your words, not mine, and certainly not my thoughts

Ripcat Ripcat:
Guns and Roses, Alice in Chains, Anthrax, Green Day, Jane's Addiction, Nine Inch Nails, Pantera.

Some realy good stuff there. Alice in Chains and Anthrax never stuck to me. Anthrax and Public Enemy - "Bring the noise" is a classic, however. I should look into Nine Inch some more though. Only heard, like, 5 songs or so.
PANTERA!!! Vulgar display of power!!! Soooo god damn heavy it's chills my bones! Dimebag, Rest in peace.

No. no. I've heard Godsmack. It's the earlier stuff I'm after. 1990 to 1995. Preferably albums between 1990-93. But thanx to you I remembered Godflesh. R=UP

We could include Deftones - Adrenaline from '95. Love that album.

"The Breeders - Cannonball" from their album "Last Splash" released in 1993.

wiki wiki:
"Cannonball" made it to #2 on the Billboard Modern Rock Charts, and the album "Last Splash" was certified Platinum thereafter. The band opened for Nirvana on what would turn out to be its last tour in 1993-1994.

I love the modulation bass riff at the beginning of that song... not a fan of the rest, though.

LOVE "Pixies" but all of their best material is from the late 80's... so I figured this would have to do(as Kim, lead vocalist, is/was base player in the Pixies prior to the brake up, and went on to form "The Breeders" ).

The song received considerable airplay success. It reached number fourteen on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and went gold, but peaked higher throughout the rest of the world, reaching number one in Germany and number two in the United Kingdom and Australia
