If Walk the Line was about a blind, black, gay country singer it would have won every Oscar it was nominated for! ROTFL

By the way most Canadians that I know who appreciate country music think Johnny is the man! In fact, most Canadians who don't like country music still think he is the man! PDT_Armataz_01_34

He was a great songwriter and musician, IMO. I even have some vinyl records of his.

Johnny Cash hmmmm ..... well not at the top my list but in any event I don't go the route of country music although personally I like Conway above anyones voice IE RAINY NIGHT IN GEORGIA with Conway and Sammy Cooke .

Johnny Cash was my first concert, of course I was 3 back then.

Not much of a country fan, but his stuff is ok. I just saw Walk the line, good movie.

Johnny's style is one that you haven't seen anyone be able to mimic yet. He's a one and only, that's for sure.

I like alot of his music, but he certainly had a piss poor life the first while.

Johnny played in Canada alot, and even got engaged to June while playing a concert in Canada (Toronto or Windsor or somewhere over there). In his later days he had a cabin near La Ronge, Saskatchewan where he'd come to fish and hang out. He was the one and only celebrity up there I'd say.
