Youre right. they dont sell guns, but they do (or did) sell ammo. I bought shotgun shells in Thunder Bay, Ontario about 4 years ago. Havent bought ammo since, so Im not sure if they still do.

Yeah, but that's a MAJOR mistake, and she wouldn't even believe it when she was corrected. That isn't generally a sign of someone who conducts unbiased research.
I welcome Moore and his ideas... not because he's right or anything, but because he's one of the few loud Left Wingers in the media. Having his loud voice and opinions to counter insane Rights like Coultier helps us find the middle.

Michael Moore is a complete joke and the fact that his films are viewed in the masses is what really scares me. In fact, its sad that so many people on the left can watch it and take everything he says for truth then point disbelief everything that comes out of the right as skewed or propaganda. The hypocrisy that exists on the left is unbelievable. There have been so many websites on the internet popping up and pointing out the errors in his documentaries. I wish more Canadians (especially university students) would be more critical and not take eevrything he says as gospel.
I myself try to be balanced when it comes to documentaries from both sides of the spectrum....but what really has frightened me is how mainstream left-wing documentaries have become, especially in movie stores. For example, in Billings, MT I found about 10 Fahrenheight 9/11 movies for every 1 FahrenHype 9/11 movies. In fact this one store had only 2 copies of the later and they were all out! I watched both documentaries to make sure I had a complete perspective. The sad thing is that Fahrenheit 9/11 got way more advertisement than the alternative, yet also had the most errors in it. Of course our average person wont be aware of this and will fall for that propaganda...only because its the left and most people dont question the lefts agenda because what they do seem so noble and caring but really is based on mass hysteria and emotions, not reality and facts.

I don't know what you're basing your information on, I'm a Canadian University student and I don't take his word as gospel <_<;; Neither do any of my friends. We watch him with a critical eye, the same way we watch the news.

Same here. I'm also a university student and I don't agree with everything he says. Whenever you watch something that takes a certain point of view (like farenheit 9/11) you have to think critically about the information and balance that with your values and beliefs and (hopefully) find some middle ground. Or at the very least consideder the information before dismissing it out of hand becuase of the source.

Anne Coulter was right check the sites!Even pull this paragraph off the second site.
VIETNAM WAR
Canada was not directly involved in this war but it did have a role. Canada provided intelligence info to the USA, allowed companies in Canada to supply weapons used in the war, contributed money to South Vietnam, and supported, for a short time, American air attacks on North Vietnam.
The estimate of Canadians who fought with American forces in the Vietnam War is 10,000.

whats with the blanket statements. as if i would trust anything that is shown to me on tv or in a "documentary". christ. i might as well trust what i read on the f______ng internet !!!! this world of mass media forces people to take everything they are shown with a grain of salt. if you dont, you must be retohded !

Well, I said I wish MORE University students would not take everything Michael Moore says as gospel...I didn't say ALL take it as gospel. I understand its easy to misinterpret what people say on these forums...thats why I try to be very careful how I word everything sometimes. And anyways, just because you and your friends are cirtical of what Moore says, doesn't mean everybody else is the same. The truth is that his films are very popular among Canadians and college students. You can't deny that.

Hey, the fact that we are viewed as "far-right" is what makes everybody skeptical of all the sources we give. No matter what we do, they will always question the source. Which is good...just wish they would question everything that comes from the left, sheesh.
