Tricks Tricks: Gunnair Gunnair: so don't buy Apple. You don't strike me as a guy who buys all his stuff locally so I doubt it's the moral issues you really have because Apple is hardly alone in being a company with a questionable record, but more likely just a personal dislike.
That's fine but not everyone seems to agree with you. There is a difference between questionable record, and having nothing positive on the companies books. And if people don't agree with me, that's fine, but that doesn't mean I'm not right. Apple's products are no more "better quality" than all the other products in the same, or even lower price range. People pay for and get shiny, that's about it. A lot of reviews I've read seem to disagree with you. I guess they missed their opportunity to talk to you and get it right. Where do you buy your gas, by the way?

Gunnair Gunnair: Ahhh. Now I get you. You've opted to drive by and play the prick for some reason since offering anything of substance would have been too much effort for your lazy ass. It's just an OPINION. Seems to me you've got a few of those. That said the Camry, like most average cars, isn't boring, it's just perfectly functional. Most people who own "performance" cars can't get much more out of them than you can from a Camry or similar. They THINK they can, by tromping on the gas and the brake a lot. There are some parallels to the whole Apple idea, where people think that just because they're paying a premium price, they're getting more.

Seems to me you've done that yourself. Camry is a good car and well worth the price (not that I own one, but I do have a Matrix and Tundra and was happy to pay a bit extra for quality)

Functional only until the next recall happens. And for Toyota, it's quite frequently. -J.

I'd also like to point out, charging several hundred dollars for about 100 worth of upgrades is, by definition, overpriced. That is fact. Deal with it.

CDN_PATRIOT CDN_PATRIOT: Functional only until the next recall happens. And for Toyota, it's quite frequently. i've had a Tundra since 2008. It's had one recall, which Toyota paid for. I wouldn't call that "frequent". Even if it were recalled frequently, I'd prefer the manufacturer pay for repairs than for me to have to, so recalls are actually consumer-friendly events. Oh, and Toyotas consistently out perform all other brands, both in terms of quality and resale value. So do you have a point based on any facts, Stemmer?

Hey, I love my Buick Grand National too. In terms of performance and "cool", it's the best car ever built. But loving a GM (or any North American car) is unrequited love. It's a sugar-daddy relationship.

I will always buy domestic (Ford and/or Dodge) over Japanese, unless I become rich because then I would buy German in a heartbeat. -J.
