I, also, am deeply offended by your statements and appalled by your ignorance streaker!
My Dad fought under the Canadian red Ensign for the freedoms which you enjoy today. He (and a great many others) was saddened when the 'Red Ensign' was replaced with the current flag.The Canadian red Ensign draped his coffin at his funeral. I now have that very flag in a glass display case along with his military cap and his many war medals,oak leaves and ribbons.
I will admit that on more than one occasion my father and his friends got together and enjoyed 'too many' cold pops. They were much more comfortable and relaxed at the Legion than any other drinking/socializing establishment. They all had a lot in common that no one who wasn't 'over there'could begin to understand.
In the years to come, will you also refer to our current military who are serving in war zones today as 'drunken old farts'?
By the way, what have you done in your lifetime to PROTECT the citizens of Canada? Have you literally put your life on the line for those whom you have never met? Are you willing to die for your country?
You do owe every member of the military, both active and retired, the sincerest of apologies. Though I suspect that you lack the intestinal fortitude to be able to muster anything believable!
