The people of Nagasaki and Hiroshima and those with family in the cities did not deserve to have their loved ones vapourized. Many of the 140,000 dead were civilians whose main concern in life was surviving to the next day.

couple things,
1. the atomic attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were, at the time, seen as "the lesser of two evils". The attacks were to get the Japanese to surrender before the commencement of "Operation Downfall", an operation that Allied command projected to cost the Allies 500,000+ troops and cost the Japanese 10 times that amount. Most consider the attacks to be a terrible mistake.

2. You know Japan is an Ally, right. Its not 1945 anymore.

3. Sea Shepard are a bunch of thugs dressed up as enviromentalists, and thats all I'll say on this thread.

When the women were waist deep in the surf, still with their backs to land, they were shot down by their captor's on the shore.

Sister Bullwinkel was the only survivor of the massacre.

The British servicemen were marched around a bluff and killed before the soldiers returned and ordered the women, 22 nurses and a wife of one of the servicemen, to walk into the water.

It is reported that, as the women walked into the water, Sister Bullwinkel said to her fellow nurses "Chin up girls, I'm proud of you and I love you."

As the gunshots rang out, Matron Irene Drummond died along with 21 other women.

Last summer they sent a 'security ship'- military style weapons to Antartica to guard their whaling fleet.

Australia has taken Japan to the International Court of Justice recently trying to get an order to stop it killing whales in Antarctica.
Japan has basically said it won't abide by any decision that goes against it.
