I wonder who'll replace Ms. Marios as the leader of that antiquated bunch of 1960's left over separatist, losers?

Just think, without her understanding of what the common man in Quebec wants and unprecedented political acumen we would have had to put up with her constant bitching for another 2 years. [B-o]

Thank you Pauline. ROTFL

I'm glad to see the result, it salvages some of the hope I have left for Quebec. I have to say I really don't understand the strategy of the Parti Quebecois with that charter of values move.

It just seemed to me like part of the reason they were elected was because of a feeling among Quebecois that the ROC has no tolerance or understanding for the people of Quebec as a minority when it comes to their unique Traditions and Values.

So what does The Parti Quebecois do ? They go completely out of their way to demonstrate that they have zero tolerance or understanding for the minorities of Quebec when it comes to their traditions and values ?

I suppose they thought Quebecers wouldn't sympathize. I guess they were wrong.

This is a great result indeed. I am as happy as I was after the last federal election where the BQ was all but shunted out of Parliament.

The new Premier used to be a Brain Surgeon. Interesting career change.

It's already having a small impact on the dollar:
Why loonie is perking up: A lot to do with U.S. dollar, a little with PQ defeat

She is a nasty bit of business ... separatist or not. I hope that the door hits her fat arse on the way out.

Here's the concession speech for those who like to partake in a little schadenfreude once in a while :)

Yep! A government in Quebec that actually believes in Canada can only a good thing IMHO.

I lived in Quebec for a short time with him as Health Minister.

He seems to be a man of considerable class and dignity.

Four years plus of uncontested political power in Quebec ought to cure him of that.
