In Lugansk and Donezk cops try to speak with them, there are no actions, in Harkiv fight between cops and crazy pro Russians already started. Man on the microphone said that they hve to keep at least day, why day...this bithes have in mind something.

We are hearing this too, that they have called for 'Russian military support' to protect them while they vote:

"[] Do you want to leave Ukraine"
"[] Do you want to leave Ukraine and join Russia"

Like the rest of the world can't see there is no option.

Kiev says Russia provokes trouble in eastern Ukraine, just as in Crimea

KIEV, Ukraine — The Ukrainian government dispatched its highest-level police and security officials to the eastern part of the country Monday in an effort to put down separatist violence described as inspired by Russia and following a script that played out in Crimea.

“The plan is to destabilize the situation,” Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk told an emergency cabinet meeting Monday morning. “The plan is for foreign troops to cross the border and seize the country’s territory, which we will not allow.”

Kiev fears that Russia is promoting instability to tear Ukraine apart.

On Sunday, pro-Russian demonstrations in the eastern cities of Kharkiv, Donetsk and Luhansk that had been orderly the last few weekends turned dangerous when crowds broke off and began to occupy government buildings in the three cities.

“Yesterday, a second wave of the Russian Federation’s special operation against Ukraine started,” acting President Oleksandr Turchynov told the nation Monday in a televised address. “The goal is to . . . topple Ukrainian authorities, disrupt the elections and to tear our country apart.” He charged that “enemies of Ukraine are trying to repeat the Crimean scenario,” but he vowed that they would not succeed and that “an antiterrorist operation will take place against those who took up weapons.”

I'm sure in 75% that after half of the year Ukraine territory will only be from Poland till Dnipro. Our government is doing nothing, cops in East Ukraine can sell mother for 500$. 30 000 Russian army stands on border. Half of East Ukraine people believe that Russia is very economy strong and rich country. East Ukrainian elite calmed down and wait, Putin is promising them rivers of gold after annex. East thinks that west is like vampire castle in mountains. They all have washed heads, we are losing the country and can't do anything.

I don't understand 'washed heads' . . brainwashed?

And I wish we could do something other than impose economic sanctions on Russia. :(

I fully expect that bastion of Pan Germanic heroism. Sorry, Freudian slip, I really meant to say Pan Russian heroism, to ride to the rescue of the enslaved Russian population of the Eastern Ukraine while the Neville Chamberlin of our time sits and watches, waiting for the right moment to release a nasty sound bite condemning the annexation.

If anyone thinks this crap is over because he took the Crimea I suggest they pick up a dictionary and read the description of what a Totalitarian State is and what it's territorial ambitions usually are.

It's going to be a long hot summer.

Russian flag raised over seized government buildings in Ukraine as protesters call for more referendums

Crowds of pro-Russian demonstrators stormed government buildings Sunday in several major cities in eastern Ukraine, where secessionist sentiment has sparked frequent protests since Ukraine’s Russia-friendly president was ousted in February.

In Donetsk, 80 kilometres west of the Russian border, a large group of people, including many in masks carrying sticks and stones, surged into the provincial government building and smashed windows.

A gathering of several hundred, many of them waving Russian flags, then listened to speeches delivered from a balcony emblazoned with a banner reading “Donetsk Republic.” Activists in the building said they want to see a referendum for the Donetsk province to join Russia.

An AP photographer reported seeing people bringing car tires to be used as barricades against any presumed attempt by authorities to retake the building.

Eastern Ukraine was the heartland of support for Viktor Yanukovych, the president who fled to Russia in February after months of protests. About half of the region’s residents are ethnic Russians, many of whom believe Ukraine’s acting authorities are Ukrainian nationalists who will oppress Russians.

Ukraine’s interim authorities deny they are infringing the rights of the ethnic Russian population and accuse Moscow of trying to sow instability. Russia has moved large contingents of troops to areas near the Ukrainian border, and speculation is strong that unrest in eastern Ukraine could be used as a pretext for a Russian incursion.

Yah and I heard Canada want a pipeline to Texas?? Get digging Canada Texas portion is already done and active. Oh and we don't need a road to Alaska. US citizens love to travel via Canadian Roads and spend money in Canada. Personally I'd like land 100,000 US Troops and Tactical Nukes in Ukraine and ram it up Putin's A@@.
