Some how I have the feeling that if this was a 30 year old male, the sentence would have been a bit harsher.

I think the only question is. Did she, or didn't she have sex with people under the age of consent?...at any time. I think it's irrelevant that they either became old enough after a time, or that the law changed. She is a pedophile, plain and simple.

$1: Mason noted Cochrane's sexual relationship with her first victim was initially legal, but became unlawful when Ottawa raised the age of consent. I don't know, but isn't it unlawful to nail someone on something ongoing that when started, was legal?

Brenda Brenda: what does a 30 year old want with a 60 year old, that happens often enough too, and nobody cares... Your right of course Brenda, I just don't see it myself is all. I'm 32 this year and I can honestly tell you that none of the crap that interests teenagers (other than some music maybe)holds anyinterest to me. Like Bluenose said, a grandfather clause for pedophilia. At least a 30 year old and a 60 year old are adults.

Choban Choban: Whats a 30 year old woman want with teen girls anyway, there can't be alot of common ground for a relationship. Wait a minute, I think I got this one... ...the same thing that a 30 year old man would want from teen girls. (If you don't know, PM me and I'll send you the answer) EDIT: By "teen", I mean 18-19 year olds.

Doesn't 55 days in remand = 110 days in jail? I don't think she even went to jail after the trial.

I agree with that last one, but when this all started, the kids were considered of age of consent... I don't see it either, teens are... not my thang. They weren't when I was a teen
