I like the new uniforms too. Having Cpt. Marvel on the team will definitely improve things. But all the threatened white males will likely object.

And, is it just me, or do those suits look like the Quantum Realm suits from Ant-Man?

That's around the break even spot as I understand.
It's deceptive at this point. They uncharacteristically clumped the foreign release closer to the domestic to increase the world box office reports.
As far as the new Avengers uniforms look, I find them fascist.
All hail Captain Flatass, new commander of the Marvel army.
Iron Man who? Captain America who? Thor who? Captain Buttless flicks Thanos away like Thanos flicked away the Hulk. Hulk who?
All kneel and praise the new woke MCU.
The Last Jedi made money too. But now people are a little less interested in what comes next for Star Wars. Witness Solo.
End Game will make money. Don't bet on anything after that if they continue the emphasis on the traditional heroes of Marvel as NPC's.

I know I shouldn’t ask, but just how is MCU “woke” now? Because they have a female lead and the actress who plays her has her own opinions? The horror!
I think it was the director of Logan who was saying a little while ago that toxic fandom is going destroy this market for MCU and DCU movies because if this is the reaction then no good actors and actresses are going to want to be in them and big name directors and studios will want to make them. And then we’ll be back in the bad old days when shitty directors like Uwe Boll will make comic book movies.

That's not what's being said. This guy might be saying it better than I do:

And then we’ll be back in the bad old days when shitty directors like Uwe Boll will make comic book movies. Doubtful, considering the countless billions of dollars that have been made since the first X-Men movie. These studios aren't going to hand out multi-million dollar potential in characters to hacks like Boll anymore, or even a former golden-boy turned awful like Josh Trank. The juggernaut has been unleashed and really can't be stopped, especially with Disney consolidating all the Marvel universe under their own labels ensuring that the films won't be working against each other anymore. And that level of investment means that we're dealing with the kind of high-powered producers that could literally care less about what some whiners on the internet or some far-too-serious cranks at the local comic-book store think. So just sit back and enjoy the spectacle of the MRA snowflakes and toxic nerds flipping out as the female characters become as huge in terms of money-making as the male ones are. The basement-dwellers will be in permanent upset-mode because these characters and stories are no longer for their exclusive enjoyment.

The criticisms have nothing to do with MRAs.
The fan critics (not the Media monopoly paid critics) are fans who grew up with Marvel comic books, movies, and beyond. They were fans of Ripley and Sarah Connors, The Bride in Kill Bill and possible even Buffy the Vampire slayer. They wanted a Black Widow movie or even The Scarlet Witch and were vocal about.
Disney wanted a new flagship female to counter DC's Wonder Woman. Marvel didn't have one but they had a character they'd tried 9 times unsuccessfully to foist on their fans. The fans wouldn't buy the character and the comic kept failing. Disney figured, 'But what do the fans know. Let's do it again.'
They hire Brie larson. Oscar winner of the stone face. She walks into the Marvel universe, stands at her podium and says 'Move along guys. We won't be wanting to hear from you anymore. Especially you white ones. It's a new MCU and I'm the power now, simply because I am.'
From what I hear the Avengers cast aren't crazy about her either.
They film the movie. People hear about it. The trailer sucks.
Disney moves in changing or deleting tens of thousands of fans comments on Rotten Tomatoes, botting in false reviews and ratings, possibly salting the theatres with phony prepaid seats, pressuring critics to convince poor no-nothings among the masses that they're really the know-it-alls if they believe it's all about Incels and MRAs hating the female super hero.
It's not though. Replacing a priority of character and story with one of ideology is a bad idea. It's only a matter of time before the masses figure that out like some of us already have.

For all this talk of the billions these movies make...
My dividend payout was brought to me by ESPN 8...I am only a little joking.
Media Networks is the money maker. Studios (the movies) is slowly growing, and Consumer Products (the merch) is a shit show, relatively speaking.

https://boundingintocomics.com/2019/03/ ... ntroversy/$1: New Reports of Empty Theaters at Captain Marvel Add to Movie’s Controversy
New reports of empty theaters for Captain Marvel’s weekend showings are the latest in the movie’s ongoing controversy.
A number of Twitter users indicated there were empty seats at a number of Captain Marvel showings over the weekend.
(Screen shots on the page - go to the link to see them)
We spoke with a movie theater manager who asked for anonymity. He told us they had “exactly 25 no shows for every showing of Captain Marvel on Thursday through Saturday.”
The manager told us this was definitely abnormal, “It’s definitely not normal. People usually show up when they pay for tickets…I’m not sure what it is, we’ve seen big groups not show up before, but they get refunds.”
I asked whether or not these tickets were purchased in bulk, but that information isn’t available, “I’m not sure if they were bought all at once because Fandango doesn’t give us that information, but exactly 25 no shows for every show is probably statistically impossible.”
The manager would add, “I would say it’s someone trying to make the ticket sales look better than they really were.”
He would also indicate he saw significant drop offs in ticket sales from Sunday at his theater, “Sunday for Captain Marvel wasn’t good and Monday and Tuesday were terrible. They were like a 75% drop off from Sunday.”
Box Office Mojo reports Captain Marvel’s Sunday take was only $38.8 million at the domestic box office. A drop of over 26% from Saturday. On Monday, the decline was even worse. The film dropped nearly 72% bringing in less than $11 million putting its total gross at over $164 million so far.
Captain Marvel has been mired in controversy. One America News Network’s Jack Posobiec called for fans to avoid seeing Captain Marvel and instead see Alita: Battle Angel following Brie Larson’s comments insinuating she wanted less white men covering her on the press tour and reviewing the movie.
What do you make of these reports of empty theaters? Do you think people were trying to prop up Captain Marvel during its opening weekend?

Jack Posobiec is one of the crazies who nearly got everyone in Comet Ping Pong gunned down, thanks to the insane shit he posts on Twitter. So take any article that speaks of him positively with a grain of salt as large as the alkaline flats in the Utah desert.

Thanos Thanos: Jack Posobiec is one of the crazies who nearly got everyone in Comet Ping Pong gunned down, thanks to the insane shit he posts on Twitter. So take any article that speaks of him positively with a grain of salt as large as the alkaline flats in the Utah desert. Okay, have you seen the movie? Do you know anyone who's seen it? Did what they told you and how excited they were indicate to you that this movie was a blockbuster? Really, not even the people on this topic who say they liked the movie seem all that jazzed up about it. That's the thing for me. I work in an office literally full of comic book freaks and movie-goers and so far not even one of them has pulled me aside to tell me how great the movie was or to set up a time to go see it. And I've seen a bunch of movies via my office over the years. I missed the last Avengers movie but I've seen almost everything else. This time no one seems to give a shit.

Disney faked a $500 million box office in order to trigger MAGA! Fake news! Lock Brie Larson up in the same cell as Hillary!
