and this launch has WAY more stable than Bad Company 2's was. I've played lots during all the Battlefield launches and this was pretty good, servers have been pretty stable. the CKA server didnt crash at all today, and 3 times in a 1 hour period the day before. WE HAD MAJOR crashing problems during the BC2 launch. And BF3 is handling much more people.

I personally like Battlelog and hanv't had any problems with it. But don't see the need for Origin running since the friends list is not connected. But I have RAM to spare, so meh.

I'm not going to lie. I installed played about 10 min of single player (to adjust all the settings get used to controls etc) then jumped into MP. Here is a break down of my hour and a half on MP.... First map I go into someone has hacked and everyone is getting spawn killed (randomly spawned high in the air and dropped to their deaths) and three players were booted for cheating, second map I went into went into was so full of lag that I stuttered non stop even though heading into the game I had a really decent ping, third one was going good and then the servers went offline for two and half hours for maintenance. I'm not a hater, really I'm not... I love the whole BF series but it seems to me that EA dropped the ball somewhere... However, when it worked it worked amazingly! For now I guess I'll stick to the campaign.

I pre-ordered it on PS3 and it was a pretty good experience for me yesterday.

I had a few hiccups getting online, but once I did, gameplay was good. No issues. The tanks are fantastic :)

Do have to be logged into the Battlelog to play? I play on my Xbox, I'm not logged in to Battlelog and I can play just fine.

Apparently Stinger missiles are still quite deadly even after the target uses flares, I watched one of my missiles change targets to a nearby enemy helicopter and take them out instead (I know it changed because the chopper was pretty far out of my lock range)

thats why you play on clan servers like CKA's we almost always have an admin on to kick hackers.

server ran for 10 hours today full almost the entire time and never crashed until this evening, but it wasn't a BF issue, it was a datacentere Cisco swtich problem.

Apparently I am cursed, I have a .46 W/L ratio, kinda frustrating to know that no matter how well you do in a match your team will lose for 6th time in a row (of the last ~18 matches my team has won 3)

I'm totally pumped about this. Some crappy player accused me of hacking months ago and recorded my play. The guy had no skill at all but cried for hours. Old guys do rule!!!

I called EA Support on Wednesday night and they told me that my irritating experience was affecting about 100,000 of the over eight million people registered for the game. It's supposedly something to do with the West Coast logon servers because when the tech tried my logon from the call center in Maine he was able to get in - but then when he rerouted to California he could not.

I also registered my sincere disapproval of having to logon to a web server in order to access the single player mode hosted on my computer. I got a whole world of nasty words for EA on that topic.

So where I stand is I'll try again sometime on the weekend and if it still fails due to EA's server problems I'll be asking for a refund.

A few people were accusing Canadaka of hacking a while ago too, it was pretty amusing.

that would be unfortunate, its the best game ever! :)

Its being reported they've sold 10 million copies in first week http://bf3blog.com/2011/10/battlefield- ... on-copies/

I personally love Battlelog, way faster server browser and stats using a slick website than the clunky in-game menus of past games. I can see which friends are playing without having to load the game, can monitor chat, and such at work or away from home. And if you have a fast computer the game launches fast from the website and there is no login screen, loading movies, loading logo screens, its straight to the game. Seriously compare how long it takes to get into a game on BF2, BF2142, BC2 to BF3, and BF3 blows them out of the water.
