BartSimpson BartSimpson:
I called EA Support on Wednesday night and they told me that my irritating experience was affecting about 100,000 of the over eight million people registered for the game. It's supposedly something to do with the West Coast logon servers because when the tech tried my logon from the call center in Maine he was able to get in - but then when he rerouted to California he could not.
I also registered my sincere disapproval of having to logon to a web server in order to access the single player mode hosted on my computer. I got a whole world of nasty words for EA on that topic.
So where I stand is I'll try again sometime on the weekend and if it still fails due to EA's server problems I'll be asking for a refund.
that would be unfortunate, its the best game ever!

Its being reported they've sold 10 million copies in first week
http://bf3blog.com/2011/10/battlefield- ... on-copies/I personally love Battlelog, way faster server browser and stats using a slick website than the clunky in-game menus of past games. I can see which friends are playing without having to load the game, can monitor chat, and such at work or away from home. And if you have a fast computer the game launches fast from the website and there is no login screen, loading movies, loading logo screens, its straight to the game. Seriously compare how long it takes to get into a game on BF2, BF2142, BC2 to BF3, and BF3 blows them out of the water.
