Canadaka Canadaka:
I broke down and decided to go buy Modern Warfare 2 at the midnight launch event at the downtown Futureshop. I was playing Borderlands with a friend and we beat it, it was very disappointing, we though the game would be much longer and the end boss was lame. So with that done I decided to walk down to the store. It was pouring rain, so I thought there probably wouldn't be many people, but I was wrong. The line was down the block and up an ally. When I got in the store I was the only one I saw buying the game for PC, the teller who had the games behind the counter didn't even know where the PC copies were, he had to look for a sec. Everyone I saw was getting it for Xbox.
I was also very disappointed, or maybe even disgusted, that I was the only one in the line and in the store that I saw wearing a poppy. This is pathetic, it's the day before remembrance day. You would think people who play a military game would have some knowledge, respect or remembrance for the people who are the source material for these games.
Saw a bunch(20-30) 20 somethings lined up outside the Coquitlam Center Mall Future Shop last night. Didn't know what for until I watched the News last night. Not sure if I'll get this. Seems too much like Whack-a-Mole in a Corridor Shooter.
These days I'm into more Open type Games. Like GTA, Stalker, Fallout 3, Far Cry 2. Give me an Open World and I'm entertained.
