Yes scape, I am just one of those gamer whiners :roll:. It's funny that whenever a gamer expresses his opinion about a game or game making company that is negative. All the fans of the series go balistic in defense mode.

Valve has never made anything original since the first Half-life. All there games such as L4D, TFT, etc have all been at one point a community mod that valve copied and put a price tag on. That is a fact. What also is a fact that as soon as they released L4D they were already making the sequal. That leaves no time for any game developement advancements and the final product of which is L4D2. There are no game-play changes it's the same as the original. They did some minor unnoticable graphic tweeks and added silencers to a couple of weapons and added in a bunch of melee weapons. Why is that worth another 40 or so bucks?

Many people hate Valve, and they do for a reason. They aren't a generation of whiners. They are a generation of gamers who ask for quality instead of quanity and are tired of game developers being money grubbers.

How can you judge a product that has yet to be released and How long between the release of HF2 had ep 2? It was 4 years. Why? The finished product was quality. That also goes back to the issue of them sticking to what they know as experts and making a high quality product, which DOD, TFC and L4D are all clearly a part of. You can't have it both ways. You can't complain on the one hand that they release a product a year after the old one and then say they are reneging on DLC when no such action has been stated and say that quality will be cut when you have yet to see it.

I really like Left 4 Dead - it's a great game to play with other 3 other people with you, and great for the 8 player mode too. There's only like 4 or 5 achievements I haven't gotten yet, so damn frustrating. D;

I think Left 4 Dead 2 (lol) is coming out later this year, was it November? I'm not sure, but the new game seems great from what I've been hearing.

Is that seriously it? There's basically only new characters, new weapons, few new enemies and new setting locations.

Meh... I mean it looks the same as the first one, minus few things.

Well I have the game, what do you know. I was correct, besides for new graphics. There is no difference in the game-play besides new maps, characters and melee weapons. They have the same old weapons except part of all the so called new weapons are nothing more than silenced versions of the old weapons, majority of the new weapons are infact a wide variety of melee based weapons which replace your pistol. There are no large additions to any of the shooting weapons. Just a better sniper rifle, a new assault rifle which isn't really that great, a new shotgun which isn't really that different besides looks. That's about it besides a couple new specials. L4D2 could have easily been a addon, if it wasn't for the graphics. You wouldn't have been able to tell it was a entirely new game. Despite this, its better than the first one however not worth a additional 40-60 dollars.

An add on with 5 camps? You might as well buy a new game. I played L4D a few months after L4D2 came out and I'm sorry but it's not the same. L4D play is a lot less hectic then the 2nd and the gore/graphics are most certainly not the same when you can blow out the zombies stomach and see the spine. Melee weapons change the game entirely.

You can play the two games and it's the difference between watching a movie in HD or black and white. It's the same movie but it will have a different perspective. It would be like saying God of war is the same as God of war 3 because it has similar quicktime events.

I had already said 2nd was better than the first, you do not have to repeat that. The only thing that makes the difference is the melee weapons and the graphics. That doesn't make a entire new game, the game-play is the exact same. It's the same L4D with better graphics except you can go "Huh, should I just a pistol or a axe?". Yes, that's worth another entire $40-60 :roll: .

I agree. One of the biggest changes that I noticed was the level design. The levels are a lot more open in L4D2 than they are in the original.
