Dad's appreciating all the love! He would write this himself but his thumbs are too big to text...no matter how much I ask him to at least ACCEPT AND READ texts (he doesn't even have to reply), he'll have none of it! So I just read everyone's replies to him! We're flying home tomorrow morning and then he'll be laid up for a few more days. He's damn uncomfortable! OH WAIT!!! I have a picture from yesterday that I sent my brother...I will see if I can post it...no, it's not working with this post

Thanks so much for the wonderful dinner, the fabulous company, the laughs and an absolutely perfect b-day gift for an old tomboy like me. Only you would think to do something like that when you're dealing with so much on your own plate. You're an awesome friend. We're lucky to have you.

Feels good to be back home. Staying with 'The Folks' across the street for a few days but was able to manage a slow walk here.Thanks to all of you's for good wishes. I am expecting recovery to go well. Dr. got the mesh out of the left side. Guess he had quite a time with it! Heavy meds for a while.

Restaurant right across the parking lot from the hotel so my daughter wheeled me over for a bowl of soup with Rosie & Q. Nice visit. Nice to get out of bed for a time as laying/sleeping is still painful no matter what. Today is much better. Going to take my laptop back with me and hope I can get wifi.
I could have had a 'paid nurse' with me but I wanted my daughter to go with me as we are really 'best friends' That was sure the right decision. No way I would have gotten better care and attention.
