sandorski sandorski:
Thanos Thanos:
The CBC reader comments section is full of the usual "death to Alberta" and "Kenney is a racist" nonsense from the usual Liberal/NDP kool-aid drinking suspects. Yeah, what a horrible racist thing it is to suggest that immigrants try giving a damn about being part of Canada instead of setting up some sort of bunkered and isolated Taliban-north ghetto just like back home.

How about we keep the immigrants and start deporting the dumb-fuck liberal relativists from the "white-is-evil" "Canada-must-always-apologize" fringe instead?

It was worded in an odd way. Not sure where you're seeing these "Ghettos", all I see are communities. You'll be hard pressed to find an age where Immigrants didn't group together. These communities actually help Immigrants to integrate, by making the transition more palpable.

Sand, do you live in the GTA?
These cultural enclaves (it's hard to call a sub division a ghetto) do nothing to intergrate newcomers.
They stick to stores and services provided by people from the 'old' country and ensure that people born here always look back to their parents third world homelands.
That's why we have Canadian and British born people from various immigrant communities fighting in Somalia, Afghanistan, etc, with the enemies of our states, against Westsern interests.
This stuff ensures that 'new' Canadians have no loyalty to Canada.

The area around Jane and Finch isn't a ghetto? Have you ever been to Richman...I mean Richmond, BC? This is a ghetto by choice. The Chinese who move there never have to learn English.

oh and for the record, the ghettos dont help people integrate,
it prevents them from doing so.

Did you actually read the Definition you posted? The Key word is "Pressure". "Ghettos" are a place where people are Put, not where they Choose to live.

makes sense to me. the social and financial pressure of moving to a new country forces them into the ghettos.
The definition fits perfectly.

Wrong let me quote that again for you
$1:
portion of a city in which members of a minority group live; especially because of social, legal, or economic pressure.
" The first part tells you what a ghetto is, the second part is to tell you some of the reason people live in ghettos, but doesn't mean those are the only reasons.
