In this supposedly tightly controlled secular state, nothing happens without the government's OK. They burn Western embassies and Westerners are expected to apologize and be sensitive towards their sensibilities??

This is fantastic.

For some reason, when Islamic Fundamentalists want to take a political action, they always screw up.

In Iraq, they had the sentiment of leftists in Europe and North America right behind them, and then they'd do something like blow up a Red Cross center, or a UN mission, or some humanitarian thing, so that not even the Left could support them.

Now this out-of-control raging against the Danish---the Danish and the Norwegians, for Pete's sake---all it does is make sober and intelligent people think, "Maybe that George Bush was on to something, after all."

This rioting produces exactly the opposite effect of what, no doubt, they consider their interests.

It is a bit troubling. I hope this radical movement dies. This battle between freedom\democracy vs islam\theocracy is starting to heat up. Who will win?

Not a long-term problem. The Islamic fundamentalists will ultimately collapse in the face of their own moderates.

I think you may be right. The moderates will in some time have to come and defend their own religion. The Radicalists are smearing it all over the world.

You know it’s not only the Danish and Norwegian embassies that got burned to the ground (Norway have printed the cartoons as well!) but also the Swedish and Chili embassies – and non of them have ever printed the cartoons – they were just in the same building as the Danish embassy!

Guess the somebody is out trying to get new friends??? Or not!

These radicals are not doing a very good job at getting countries on their side. Their prime goal should be to get these european countries to stand more and more against american policy. What they are doing is the opposite I think. When people destroy embassies in your country and bomb civilians it tends to make you a bit less empathetic and sympathetic to their views.

It could be said that diplomacy is trying your best not to piss off people who are easily enraged.

Its always been my experience that people like this are unrelenting and will force confrontation sooner or later. Why should others be afraid of pissing them off when they go from zero to psycho over everything. It gets tiring very soon. I will always remember how they all danced in the streets after 9/11. Or how they all thought Daniel Berg getting his head chopped of was so cool. They all had their hands out after the wave and earthquake. They would want some danish butter or cheese then , wouldn't they? Frankly I couldn't give a fuck for their stupid feelings. When I see compassion from them I might have some for them.
Assclowns!
