I lived in England for a year, in a village near Cambridge and i really liked it, well not the lving in a village part, that was a little boring, but the rest of England. I obviously missed a lot of things about Canada, but would like to go and live in the UK again. I just love real ale pumped from a cask too much, oh and also crumble with custards poured on top, mmmmm.

I think there are good things here, real ale is also one of them. I recommend a trip to a beer festival here, I stumbled home after the last one I went to.

Unfortunetaly I never did make it to a CAMRA beer festival, but for work I did a lot of travelling all over England staying in pubs & Inns and of course sampling the local ales.

I wish we had Toby Carvery's in Canada, a carvery any night of the week!! For pudding I would always get the apple rubarb crumble with a bottomless jug of custard....just can't find that in Canada. When I ask I just seem to get funny looks.

Another thing I miss in England is being able to have a drink in most public places. I find nothing wrong with sitting in the park, or out on a picnic and having a few drinks, or even walking down the street. If your drunk and causing a scene then thats a different story. But here in Canada you can get a ticket for just having an open bottle when your completely sober!

Well that turned into a bit of a rant at the end
