I highlighted the important ones. But this is the particularly striking and scary bit. He's essentially advocating the use of our military in a provocative manner, in other words, looking for excuses to make war and then blaming the victim. This is why someone like Bart should never run a country. Well, that and his obvious and repeatedly expressed desire for genocide against Muslims, despite that he will likely claim the contrary after reading this. I think he means it is better to fight them away from home... Fight whom? You're not disagreeing with me, but that's the problem. Whomever our enemy may be. Who is our enemy, and why do we need to have one? Our enemy is those who oppose us and we need to have one, but it is inevitable that at some point we will have an enemy.

Who is our enemy, and why do we need to have one? Our enemy is those who oppose us and we need to have one, but it is inevitable that at some point we will have an enemy. I can't think of anyone that "opposes" us (can we not just agree to disagree?) who is actually any sort of real looming danger to us. The obvious response to this is going be the arm-flailing red-faced "BUT THE TERRORISTS! WE NEED TO FIGHT THE TERRORISTS!" ...but the answer to that is, no we don't, at least not in the way you're thinking of. Before I respond, I hope you noticed where I said we need one, I meant to say we don't need one. Massive typo on my part and was typing too quick.
At this point, we don't need to fight anyone, but we are choosing to for the better of Afghanistan. And in doing so makes us fight the people who want to stop that country from progressing into a free and democratic nation. I would say that's a fight worth fighting. No? Try to get a stable government and back off. If it goes to shit again, then we won't step in, unless there is a repeat of 9/11. Which I highly doubt with how well the Feds are doing.

Few people on this message board are quite that stupid. $1: At this point, we don't need to fight anyone, but we are choosing to for the better of Afghanistan. I don't think Bart is proposing a nation building exercise, since most of his comments on certain topics , which I don't think need to be named, seem to involve nation destruction exercises. To complete the nation building, it may be necessary to destroy any forces that wish to stop it.
