Well try paying the GST on everything .. will get the data and post it for you.. Things that were not taxable on the goods and service will be.. you will be paying 13% on everything.. with few exceptions and who gets the GST? the feds.

Did you read my post?
I understand what it is. I just figured the province kept 8% and the feds got their 5

"Suddenly, you're going to have an extra eight per cent added to your gasoline bill, which right now means you'd have an extra seven cents a litre," he said from Ottawa.

"That will only get worse if the price of gas goes up again. If the price of gas goes up to $1.50 again, that'll be a huge tax grab for the government."

Most think its a good idea. time will tell.. but if the feds wanted it there must be something in it for them..

Which most?
Not this guy. I'm sure that the bussiness guys that want it, figured that Dalton would be fair about it and lower the provincial rate so as to make their tax intake even. Nobody figured that crook/lier would keep it at 8%

Hey, are you saying that this is another 8% on gas on top of the provincial taxes already on there?

This just means I'll have to increase my drive-aways from the pumps by 8%.

McGuinty is doing exactly what harper set him up to do.. harper makes the feds look good lowering taxes then rakes it back through a harmonized tax system... making the provincial gov't look bad.. what a slug!

A Liberal raises taxes and in your small-narrow mind it is the Conservatives fault. Dumb and a hack is an apt description of you.

McGuinty decided to fight the recession by raising the prices of homes and gas.
I thought the auto and home sales were down?
How is this going to help?
I am sure I am missing something cause The Liberals can do no wrong.
