JetBoy JetBoy: Tricks Tricks: When did he say that? How do you get this in your head? You both told me. Read back at your own posts. It exists, but isn't as bad as you paint it to be.

How would you know? Have you lived the life of a gay man? Have you had your parents disown you because you're a freak of nature?

not a freak, just an abberation from what's currently considered normal sexual behavior. no different from those who engage in bondage or celibacy for that matter.

Not sap stories. My parents are great but most my friends can't say the same.
Answer the question. Do you know what it's like?

JetBoy JetBoy: ShepherdsDog ShepherdsDog: never claimed it didn't exist, you were just digging for it in places it wasn't. as to almost feeling sorry for me, can't say the feeling is reciprocal. You think that Yankees song is devoid of anti-gay sentiment? Good fucking god man. $1: While I agree it's inappropriate and rude, I wouldn't take it too personally
words that are already haunting you.

And I've had my parents say they will not support me in something I wanted to do.

Inappropriate and rude? No, I stand by my statement that using the term "breeder" is just that.

lots of kids turfed by their parents for other reasons than their sexual preferences. you're friends weren't unique, no one is guaranteed and idealistic childhood.

Well, I'll tell you something, if a bunch of gay men ganged up on a straight couple singing the same type of song, harassing and ridiculing them to their face, and it was commonplace, I would find it much more than just rude and inappropriate. It would also find it terrible bigoted and heterophobic as well. But I mean, let's compare apples and oranges here. A gay person calling a known homophobe a "breeder" behind their back (or even as a half-assed comeback) in frustration isn't quite the same thing.

but homosexuals refer to themselves as gays, fags, homos and queers. why should they even be considered rude? i've never heard two straight people call themselves breeders. you've lost your arguement, why are you now dragging all this extraneous crap in?

actually, the term "breeder" is used in a derogatory way and refers to ANY straight person, not just those that show homophobic tendencies. It is, or at least has been a fairly common term in the GBLT community. If you haven't heard it, then I would say YOU are the one with the limited life experience.

Blacks refer to themselves sometimes as niggers too, but that doesn't mean it's OK for a white person to call them nigger or ask them why they're black while ridiculing them for it.
