Not to mention...when you keep a culture or people artificially poor. you eliminate a potential market. While food prices may be cheaper on our end, we give up the opportunity to sell manufacured goods to nation that may have the potential to grow and participate in the free market system. This means there are less manufacturing jobs on our end. Less manufacturing jobs on our end means bigger drains on social programs that we have established. Less jobs also means, less people contributing to the growth of our local economies.


And then there's the cost of fighting the ensuing wars. The war on drugs, the war on terror, the war on poor people...er, poverty. All of these unending and expensive wars have their basis in failed foreign policies and unfair trade deals.

I see this every day, I live in the middle of it.


I actually quit watching NASCAR because of it. That's like most people changing their religion. It was just too damned disgusting to listen to commentators invoking god and Amerika before every commercial.
